Comparison between 2 pandemics
Asian flu_ COVID-19
Preamble:
I am old enough to have known the "Asian flu" in 1957.
I am surprised to see the rapid development of COVID-19 and the arrangements
made.
Asian flu.
At the time, the media were limited to the paper press and the radio.
Access to the private telephone was limited to the privileged few.
We had little information on the development of this pandemic.
At the time I was in secondary school and we became aware of the magnitude of
the
pandemic through the very high absenteeism of students and teachers.
No decision seemed to be taken, nor advice as to the behavior to adopt.
It was as if our "leaders" were giving back while waiting for it to pass.
And it happened.
COVID-19
Born in China, this epidemic was considered a local phenomenon, until the
spectacular and rapid contamination coming from a religious meeting in Alsace.
It is the agitation of all: politicians, doctors, journalists, experts.
Conflicting directives appear.
The hunt for "masks" is open.
Confinement is imposed with rules that seem more like esotericism than
rational.
How to explain this rapid progression of this pandemic.
What has changed since 1957
-
Globalization.
-
Industrial tourism.
-
Fast food.
-
Internet.
-
The discovery of new materials.
-
The Smartphone.
-
Triumphant capitalism.
-
Disposable handkerchiefs.
We can incriminate each of these parameters. That does not fully explain the
rapid spread of France from Mulhouse.
My hypothesis.
---------------The Smartphone------------------
What is new and widespread used near the mouth, which we touch at all times the
touch screen which can store the postilions the fingerprints that we enclose in
a case, that we carry and that we show everywhere:
A plausible scenario:
A person goes to a meeting with his Smartphone equipped with its protective
case. He finds knowledge. He is unaware that some are contaminated. He takes
photos and lends his phone so that his acquaintances can make "cuckoos" to his
friends who could not come. The smartphone is polluted. He closes his case
well. Viruses are well protected.
Conclusion
The Smartphone with its excessive use can be one of the vectors of
contamination.
The recommendation to regularly clean or even disinfect your Smartphone must be
made.
Likewise that of limiting its use.
Likewise that of limiting its use.
The ban would be stupid and ineffective.
------- The strange aberration of disposable handkerchiefs ---------
Recyclable masks are authorized or even recommended while recyclable
handkerchiefs (in fabrics) are banned.
A contaminated person when he blows his nose in a disposable handkerchief he
contaminates it.
She often throws it away anywhere, because there are no dedicated trash cans
that would destroy it.
So it can cause further contamination.
With a handkerchief, it only risks contaminating itself. Especially if she
blows her nose discreetly.
------ Why this pandemic remains latent -------------
Currently, the measures taken only keep it active.
In the absence of vaccines; several solutions are possible.
-
Only take precautions and protect medical personnel affected by the
pandemic.
The rest of the population does not use a mask, confinement or distance.
We do our utmost to care for the fragile.
The others will be immune over time.
There will be deaths; but eventually the pandemic will stop.
-
A covid-19 detector is being developed. It is used to see if an area is
contaminated.
Thus we can free from the constraints of mask and distance.
-
We develop an infection detector usable by everyone.
Each infected person must be kept away under pain of being forced into a
specialized building.
This requires having control and repressive forces.
It is also imperative that a global agreement be made. What unfortunately seems
impossible to me, therefore, it is necessary to close the borders or to be
rigorous in the control of entrants with forced isolation or return.
Comments:
Solution N ° 1 is cruel but effective.
Solutions N ° 2 and N ° 3 require that our virology spawners work.
We cannot continue as we are now; we will have the pandemic and the revolt.
